COLORADO SPRINGS — Wednesday, UCCS conducted a COVID vaccine distribution simulation for student nurses.
Volunteers were screened and administered face vaccines.
Par of the simulation also involved possible scenarios for dealing with side effects like an allergic reaction.
The school has been approved to be a pod site during a future phase of the vaccine rollout and officials said this simulation will prove beneficial when it comes time to do the real thing.
