COLORADO SPRINGS — If you're interested in a career in space, there's a website for that. The new official website for the U.S. Space Force, gives people a glimpse of the newest branch of military.

U.S. Space Force will focus on protecting U.S. national interests, and security in space. The website was launched after President Donald Trump signed the National Defense Authorization Act, Friday, officially establishing the new branch of the military.

So far, the page details how recruits can join, and videos on space planning and operations. Space Force falls under the U.S. Air force, allowing recruits to surf the Air Force's career website, to search for space related jobs. The title page includes a rundown of leadership, fact sheets, and links to the space policy directive.

General John Jay Raymond, a commander of the new military service, says 16-thousand active duty airmen and women, as well as civilians are currently in the Air Force Space Command. Officials are saying those people will remain in the Air Force for the time being.

The website connects to the branch's official social media pages, including USSpaceForceDoD on Facebook and @SpaceForceDoD on Twitter.
