COLORADO SPRINGS — Congressman Doug Lamborn's office has confirmed U.S. Space Command will be coming to Peterson Air Force Base, at least temporarily.
“Now that the word is out, I am delighted to acknowledge that U.S. Space Command will indeed be reactivated at Peterson Air Force Base later this month, with an official ceremony for the stand-up next month," Congressman Lamborn said.
It's unclear yet if this will be permanent, but Congressman Lamborn says he is working hard to make it happen. "I have been working with the Air Force, Department of Defense, Trump Administration, Colorado Congressional delegation, and our great local leaders to ensure SPACECOM returns to Colorado Springs, where it belongs."
