COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Police Department is alerting residents of two Sexually Violent Predators who have moved in together at a Colorado Springs residence.
The department announced Wednesday that 31-year-old Shane Worth Poteet (left) and 29-year-old Robert Carlos Vargas-Delao (right) moved to 2633 Summit Drive. Poteet was last reported living at 3033 East Platte Ave. #109.
Poteet is described as 6'0" tall and has blue eyes. He has various tattoos on his legs, arms and chest. Vargas-Delao is described as 5'9" tall with black hair and brown eyes.
According to CSPD, Poteet's sex-related charges include Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child in 2016 and Attempted Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child in 2010, both in Prowers County. Poteet is currently out on parole.
Vargas-Delao was convicted of Sexual Assault on a Child and Harassment in El Paso County. He is under parole for this case.
Under Colorado law, law enforcement agencies are required to notify the community when a SVP moves into the area.
