Two men arrested for November homicide in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS — Two men are in custody in connection to a homicide in Colorado Springs that left one person dead earlier this month.

On November 3 around 6:43 a.m. Colorado Springs police officers received a report of a man on the ground in the 2300 block of East Monument Street.

When they arrived, the found a man with serious injuries. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The El Paso County Coroner’s Office later identified the victim as 20-year-old Xavier Padilla.

On November 21, Colorado Springs Police homicide detective obtained arrest warrants for 18-year-old Deveon Moore for manslaughter and 24-year-old Treslyn Laurent-Morales for tampering with physical evidence and tampering with a deceased human body.
