COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs Police are investigating separate crashes that killed two people Friday night.

CSPD says in one of the crashes a man lost control of his Jeep on southbound Union near Acacia, hit the median, and was ejected. He died at the scene.

Officers say they believe alcohol and speed are factors in the crash.

About an hour earlier, around 6:30 Friday night, officers were called to Cucharras and Institute, near Memorial Park, where a motorcyclist died in a crash.

That area was closed for several hours while officers investigated.
