If you are traveling through Pueblo West on Highway 50, then we have a traffic alert that you need to know about.
From Sunday through Saturday, motorists traveling both eastbound and westbound on U.S. 50, between Pueblo Boulevard and Purcell Boulevard, will encounter right shoulder closures.
Then on Monday and Tuesday evenings, from 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., motorists traveling both eastbound and westbound on U.S. 50 between, Pueblo Boulevard and Purcell Boulevard, will encounter alternating right- and left-lane closures.
Flaggers will direct motorists through the work area and speeds will be reduced to 55 mph.
Plan for extra time and slow down for workers if your commute brings you to this direction.
The right shoulder closure on westbound U.S. 50, from mile point 312 to 309, will remain in place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through much of the project while crews conduct work behind the barrier.
The normal working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Work during overnight hours can be expected during some phases of the project.
