PUEBLO — The Pueblo Food project is teaching seventh graders at Roncalli Middle School some new farming techniques.

Students are learning to grow food without soil. For now, they are starting with easier to plant foods, such as lettuce and different types of herbs.

"I think it is really cool," said student Savannah Gonzales. "I have never done anything like this before {or anything}, so it is interesting."

Once the students have produced their crops, they will have the option to donate or sell the food they grow.
