COLORADO SPRINGS — The Home Depot announced Monday they are looking to build their workforce by hiring new part-time and full-time hourly associates in stores and distribution centers across the country, including Colorado.
According to The Home Depot, stores across the nation are filling new positions in customer service and their warehouses. The customer service positions will focus on helping reinforce social distancing measures and filling online and curbside orders. The warehouse positions will help with loading and unloading product, pulling orders for the store and operating forklifts. Training will be available for all positions.
In order to keep the sales associates and customers safe, many operational safety measures have been implemented, such as reducing store hours for cleaning and sanitation, ensuring all associates have proper face coverings and gloves, limiting the number of customers in the store at a time, and canceling spring promotions.
Employees will be incentivized with temporary benefits, including weekly bonuses and double overtime.
