COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs School hosted a special event for students and families Friday.

The school held a drive-by parade to recognize everyone's efforts in e-learning.

CSS staff said the workaround during shutdown falls in line with the school's teaching philosophy.

"To be problem solvers, and to be thinkers, and during this disruption there's great ways for innovation," said Jessica James.

Just over 300 students attend the k-12 school.

As for this year's seniors, plans are still in the works to have a graduation ceremony later this summer.
