COLORADO SPRINGS — The city of Colorado Springs is planning another project for 30th Street from Fontanaro Street up to Mesa Road.

Before the 2C paving season begins, the City is planning to make intersection improvements that will happen at Water Street and Mesa Road. In addition, a roundabout has been scheduled to be installed at Gateway Road leading into the Garden of the Gods.

"That segment of 30th was identified for 2C paving," said Corey Farkas, Colorado Springs Public Works Operations and Maintenance Division Manager. "And, in coordination efforts with city engineering, they said that they had bigger plans for the area."

This coordination between the maintenance division and city engineering allows for the 2C work to be done around this project and not torn out as this section of the road is being rebuilt.

The project is scheduled to start in May and last anywhere from 18 to 24 months.
