COLORADO SPRINGS — One of downtown Colorado Springs' long-standing retailers and clothing boutiques is celebrating 28 years this week.

Terra Verde Boutique, located at 208 N Tejon St, opened in 1992 and offers women's contemporary clothing, accessories, jewelry, gifts & home decor.

Leah Fitzgerald Riehl and Carrie Hibbard-Baker, two longtime employees, bought the store in January, right before COVID-19 hit. Since then they have launched an online store, a loyalty program, upgraded to a new point of sale solution to give customers contactless checkout, updated the logo and more.

"We are resilient, we work really hard to maintain the same vibe in here, really positive and fun," said Riehl. "The same product mix, we really try to curate a fun collection of goods."

To celebrate the anniversary of the boutique, they are having a Virtual Fall Fashion Show Thursday night beginning at 7 p.m. And Sept. 25-30 they are having a sale in-store and online where you can get 20% off your total purchase.
