TELLER COUNTY — The Teller County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) has arrested a Florissant man on sexual assault charges.

According to the Sheriff's Office, detectives received information about a sexual assault victim at a Colorado Springs hospital on June 18. The female victim reported to detectives that the suspect, Bret Stein, told her that he was a pharmacist with Mountain Key Pharmacy in Florissant and that he had promised to heal her medical conditions. The two met on a dating website.

Over the next few days, stein lured the woman from Indiana to his home in Florissant.

The victim claims that while she was at Stein's home, she was given un-prescribed medication which left her incapacitated. She was then sexually assaulted multiple times by Stein, the TCSO said.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Stein was a licensed pharmacist at the time but was not legally authorized to prescribe any medication. His license was suspended on 7/2/20.

Upon further investigation by Teller County detectives, additional victims have come forward to report unwanted sexual conduct by Stein. Detectives believe there might be more victims.

Anyone with information on this case or who may have been a victim is asked to come forward and contact the Detective Bisset at (719) 304-5756.
