COLORADO SPRINGS — Teachers ditched the technology for transportation and held a parade for their students today.

The teachers and principal from Explorer Elementary School drove through the school's neighborhood with decorated cars, signs and pom-poms to spread cheer and encouragement to their students and families.

The principal, Kristen Driver, sent a video to her families expressing how much they missed the students and alert them that the teachers would be caravanning today. She asked the students and families be outside and look for them so they could wave and cheer.

The students were really happy to see their teachers and their friends from a distance. Parents say they're really missing being at school right now but it felt good to have this parade.
