CAÑON CITY — Police in Cañon City advised other agencies to be on the lookout for a driver suspected of firing shots during a road rage incident.

On Thursday night, a caller to 911 in Fremont County told the call-taker they were being followed.

While the dispatcher was on the phone they heard at least two shots fired. No one was injured in the incident, but police are looking for a gold-colored minivan with Washington state license plates, possibly BPM6936.

Officers with the Cañon City Police and the Fremont County Sheriff's Office were unable to locate the vehicle as the driver reportedly fled the area.

Details on what led up to the incident have not been released.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Fremont County Dispatch at 719-276-5600.
