COLORADO SPRINGS — Update: 8/14/20 12:00 p.m.

The Colorado Springs Police Department has released the named of the three CSPD Officers involved in the shooting on August 6, 2020, in the 4200 block of Mark Dabling Boulevard.

The officers are Corporal Nathan Hefty, Officer Christopher Helland, and Officer Janel Langdon-Isaac.

All three officers are apart of the Falcon Division, Shift III.

Officer Hefty has been with CSPD since 2013, while Officer Helland & Officer Langdon-Isaac has been apart of the force since 2018.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office said Thursday evening a suspect in an officer-involved shooting that took place late Wednesday night at Pikeview Reservoir on Mark Dabling Boulevard is in custody.

Christopher Jerome Wilson, 48, faces multiple charges including three counts of attempted murder of a peace officer.

Once he is medically cleared he will be booked at the El Paso County Jail.

Around 11:40 Wednesday night, Colorado Springs Police officers were called to Pikeview Reservoir on a report of a man firing a gun into the water. Three officers arrived and when they confronted the man, they said he began shooting at the officers.

The officers fired their weapons and ultimately, no officers were injured.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office will lead the investigation on the officer-involved shooting.
