COLORADO SPRINGS — Support the Springs, a group of volunteers dedicated to promoting and building up local businesses, is continuing to work hard towards their goal of helping small businesses thrive through the COVID pandemic.
The Springs based group has created and distributed 200 t-shirts bearing positive messages to local businesses around town.
Each business receiving and selling the t-shirts receives 100 percent of the profits; it's just one more positive thing helping them to continue forward.
This effort was made in collaboration with Courtney Caldwell Design, Creative Consortium, and a donation from Springs Homes realtor Maggie Turner, who funded the whole project.
Each shirt is branded with the message, "Socially distant, close at heart."
"So when people see these shirts," stated Russ Ware, an owner of the Good Neighbors Meeting House, "they are reminded that this is an ongoing need. Supporting the Springs isn't just for today, it's not just for yesterday, it's not just for while we're in a pandemic, it's for all of the time. It makes a difference. Local businesses matter."
According to a post on the Support the Springs Facebook page, you can find the shirts at one of the following businesses:
- Eclectic CO
- Heartshake Studios
- KINFOLK SALON
- Good Neighbors Meeting House
- Ladyfingers Letterpress
- FH Beerworks East
"We're making sure that we're continuing to build up and keep this town strong and vibrant; so I hope that's what these shirts signify," stated Leah Valentine, one of the Support the Springs team members.
Support the Springs indicated that if the release went well, they would look into further shirt releases and design opportunities.
