PUEBLO — A restaurant in Pueblo is continuing its holiday tradition despite the COVID-19 pandemic. For the 32nd time, The Sunset Inn is collecting toys for kids in need this Christmas.

The restaurant will be giving gifts to 180 kids. Collecting gifts was different this year because of the pandemic, but the community still wanted to help the restaurant's cause.

Owner Gerda Chavez says the community involvement despite hard times means she'll be excited waking up Christmas morning knowing that so many children will receive gifts they requested from Santa.

The gifts will be distributed by Posada. The organization helps the homeless in the region and families in need. To learn more, visit posadapueblo.org.
