Summit Co. Sheriff's Office investigating skier death at Keystone Ski Resort

SUMMIT COUNTY — The Summit County Sheriff's Office announced a death investigation Monday afternoon.

According to the Sheriff's Office, just before noon on Monday deputies responded to a report of a male skier found unconscious and not breathing on a ski run at Keystone Resort.

The Sheriff's Office said there were no visible signs of trauma on the 65-year-old man and he was transported to Keystone Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The identity of the man will be withheld until next of kin has been notified. The Summit County Coroner is investigating the cause of death.
