COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Rescue Mission announced a revamp of its program Tuesday.

The program is aimed at ending homelessness in the city.

People who live at the mission start with a neighborhood clean up program each month.

In return for their work, they gain experience and referrals.

Some say it's much more than that.

"I want to give back to Springs Rescue Mission because it it wasn't for them, I would have no place to be, I would have nothing to eat. Now it's my turn to give back to Springs Rescue Mission. All I can say is thank you," said Kimberly Broeder.
