EL PASO COUNTY, Colorado — A man from Colorado Springs died in a motorcycle crash near the Black Forest on Saturday afternoon. According to the Colorado State Patrol, 52-year-old Christopher Hennessy was traveling south on Highway 83 near the intersection with Shoup Road when at around 4:00 p.m. he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the side of the road.
The motorcycle went down an embankment overturning multiple times. Hennessey was ejected from the bike. He was rushed to a local hospital but died before the ambulance arrived.
Troopers say that Hennessy was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Alcohol, drugs, and speed do not appear to be factors. The crash remains under investigation.
