COLORADO SPRINGS — This past Saturday, 11/9/19, CSPD officers were dispatched to Colorado Springs Fire Department Station 8.
The officers were called to the station after a woman showed up there with a gunshot wound to her foot, according to CSPD.
CSPD said officers learned the woman was at home when she was accidentally shot by her brother while he was cleaning his handgun.
Officers then contacted the brother at the home in the 1400 block of Flycatcher Ln.
According to CSPD, the brother was arrested at the conclusion of the investigation and booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.
The brother has been identified as 32-year-old Rashawn Young.
