COLORADO SPRINGS — A Colorado Springs bridal shop is doing its part to make sure high school seniors don't miss out on an important event, prom night.

Something New Bridal Shop is partnering with Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur to hold a prom for local students.

The store will send tickets to any student who has already purchased a dress or suit from its stores and and students who haven't yet bought a prom outfit will get a discount.

The store hopes to hold the prom later this summer, when social distancing ends.

We are so sad that lot of high schoolers lost that life moment of getting to go to prom but we still believe that it is so important and should be a celebrate moment," Mindi Linscombe, owner of Something New said.

The store is currently doing virtual fittings and will let students take a few dresses home to try on. Those dresses will be put in quarantine for three days and the be steam cleaned for safety.
