COLORADO SPRINGS — Holiday travel combined with a storm is always a challenge for airports and travelers.
Colorado Springs Airport officials said they're already seeing more traffic due to folks trying to get out before the storm hits.
Their crews at the airport are prepped and ready.
"Our operations and maintenance team goes on snow alert, so all of our de-icing equipment, our snow brooms, plows, everything is ready to go," said Dana Schield.
More blowing snow is expected to impact DIA so allow yourself extra time if you're heading north. Expect delays and arrive at least two hours before your departure.
