Southbound I-25 near Fountain reopens after 5-vehicle crash

FOUNTAIN — The Colorado Department of Transportation reopened southbound I-25 near Fountain after being closed for several hours Sunday night.

I-25 was closed until around 3 a.m. Monday near the Ray Nixon Power Plant due to a crash.

There were five vehicles involved in the crash near Fountain, including a semi-truck, that sent one person to the hospital.

Officials said the person did not have life-threatening injuries and will survive.

The cause is under investigation.
