COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs police are looking for a suspect who tried to rob a restaurant on the southeast side of Colorado Springs Saturday night.

Just before 9 p.m. officers responded to the Old Chicago restaurant on North Academy.

According to police, the suspect tried to rob the restaurant, then fired a weapon and hit one of the employees. The suspect then fled the scene.

The employee suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries and is expected to survive.

Police don't have a description of the suspect.
