Sexually Violent Predator moves to El Paso County

YODER, Colorado — The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is alerting residents of a Sexually Violent Predator who moved to the county.

The Sheriff's Office announced Thursday that 55-year-old Adam Leo Mortenson moved to 315 Weissenfluh Road in Yoder, Colorado.

Mortenson is a white male described as 6'0" tall, 250 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.

According to EPCSO, Mortenson was convicted in 2017 of Taking Indecent Liberties with Children in Virginia.

The Sheriff's Office said he is one of five SVPs currently registered with them.

Under Colorado law, law enforcement agencies are required to notify the community when a SVP moves into the area.
