COLORADO SPRINGS — Sand Creek High School lifted a "precautionary lockout" placed due to police activity in the area, according to the school.
The high school said the lockout was due to a scheduled Colorado Springs Police Department operation taking place in a neighborhood close to the school around 10 a.m.
SCHS administrators said the lockout was initiated at the high school and the Creekside Success Center while police continued their investigation.
Students and staff remained in the building and visitors had restricted access.
The school lifted the lockout resumed regular activities at 11:05 a.m. when CSPD gave the all clear.
The district encourages anyone to stay alert and report any suspicious activity.
