COLORADO SPRINGS — During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Salvation Army is very busy and they need your help.

The Colorado Springs Salvation Army is holding a 'Fund-A-Thon' and are looking to raise $30,000 between now and May 3rd.

The need for helping during the coronavirus outbreak has moved them to expand programs with the demand stretching resources.

The group says that the uncertain economy could affect future fund raising.

"The reality is when our services are needed more, donations are down," explained Doug Hanson, a captain with the Salvation Army. "When our services are need less, donations are up."
