PUEBLO — Christmas came early for some kids in Rocky Ford.
Students from Washington Primary School were treated to a shopping spree at JCPenny in Pueblo.
The event was all thanks to Lotshaw Helping Hands, an organization out of California that helps people in need.
The principal from the school said about 80 percent of the students are on free or reduced lunch. Monday, the organization gave each student $200 to buy clothes, school supplies, and bikes.
"A lot of these kids have never left Rocky Ford, so just the adventure to come to Pueblo to get to go shopping, for a lot of these kids this will be the first time ever they get to wear brand new clothes," said principal, Rita Robinson.
Some of the kids received new glasses as well.
