HANOVER — Friday afternoon's storms caused a lot of problems in southern El Paso County.

Part of Young Hollow Road washed away due to heavy rainfall.

The Hanover Fire Department said Friday evening the west side of Interstate 25 had received about three inches of rain, and more was expected.

Officials closed the area of Young Hollow and El Rocio.

Hanover Elementary School was opened for families affected by the road being washed out.

The bridge at Indian Village and Boca Raton Heights was also closed for a short time Friday but has since reopened.
