PUEBLO — Leaving your car running unattended is illegal and a magnet for car weeks.
Each year thousands of cars are stolen due to puffing.
Pueblo Police will be out all week with extra officers to make sure people are following the rules.
"The thing is- criminals use them for additional criminal activity- robbing places, committing other crimes," Sgt. Franklyn Ortega said.
If your car has a remote start feature you can leave it running without being inside.
