PUEBLO — The City of Pueblo will not be extending the COVID-19 curfew.

Mayor Nick Gradisar announced Wednesday he will let the curfew expire at 5 a.m. New Year's Day.

This is only because Pueblo is seeing a drop in daily new cases, but now is not the time to let our guard down.

"Certainly it will not be the silver bullet that helps control the virus. I think it is just one of the tools that have been effective in helping us getting cases going in the right direction and that is seeing fewer and fewer cases in the City of Pueblo," said Mayor Gradisar.

If the numbers start to go up again, Mayor Gradisar has the power to implement the curfew again.
