PUEBLO — The Pueblo YMCA has started Phase 2 of their reopening this week.

The Y has opened the therapy pool, at scheduled times, for kids and adults with therapy needs.

In addition, the climbing wall is also back open to climbing day camps.

To register for those camps, please click here.

For parents or guardians working out, they can once again leave their kids at the Child Watch Center.

The changes come as the YMCA lifts its no kids rule, meaning kids ages 2 and over are allowed in the building again.

"The very first day that we opened we had people in the lobby and that just felt so good," explained McCall Knecht, Senior Director of Marketing & Development at the YMCA. "That hole of having this awesome, amazing and welcoming space. It was vast and empty for a long time and then to have it filled again, the energy was great and it filled our hearts."

Social distancing is still being encouraged throughout the Y.

Currently, you will still need to wear a mask and get you temperature check when you come in the door to enter.

The YMCA still encourages the older community to staff at home and use their virtual programs fives days a week.
