PUEBLO WEST — A man is facing an attempted murder charge after the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office says he shot his dad during an argument.
The incident happened at around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 600 block of S. Maher Drive.
The sheriff's office says the suspect, 19-year-old Victor Armando Sanchez, was found in the backyard of the home. His father, an unidentified 36-year-old, was shot in the leg. He was taken to the hospital with a serious, but not-life threatening injury.
Investigators say they recovered a gun. No one else was hurt.
Sanchez was booked into the Pueblo County Jail on a charge of attempted first-degree murder.
