PUEBLO — The Pueblo Police Department's SWAT team went to W Orman Ave to assist in a potential standoff Monday afternoon. The person believed to be inside a home on the 300 block of W Orman was wanted for a parole violation.
Pueblo Police have not released the name of the suspect. As a result of the standoff, Heritage Elementary and Central High School were on a secure perimeter status.
The campuses were on delayed release, meaning students were not able to leave the campus at a normal time. The students were allowed to leave around 4 p.m.
Some time before 6 p.m., police were able to obtain a search warrant and enter the home. Once inside, they found the home was empty.
