PUEBLO — Students at a Pueblo school learn a lesson in helping others.

The annual "Empty Bowls" event happened at the Arts Center today.

The charity is hosted by the Pueblo School for Arts and Sciences.

Ceramic bowls were created by students at the school and soup was donated by local businesses.

"This event allows us to help those who are less fortunate in Pueblo, to help out the soup kitchen, to help Posada and the Rescue Mission and it also teaches kids to help those less fortunate and to give back to the community," one organizer said.

Money from the event goes to different organizations that help the homeless in Pueblo.
