PUEBLO — South High School parents in Pueblo received a message Thursday morning about extra police presence at the school's campus.

Pueblo District 60 Director of Communications Dalton Sprouse told News5 that the district found out about a Safe2Telltip late last night that prompted more officers at the school this morning.

Sprouse did not say what caused the tip.

The tip was sent only to South High parents and did not go up on the district's website or social media because it only involves South High School.

Safe2Tell is a program that allows community members to report safety concerns anonymously.

This is a developing story. Be sure to stick with News5 for updates.
