Pueblo Police seek to identify driver after woman falls out of moving vehicle

PUEBLO — The Pueblo Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a driver involved in an injury accident.

According to the department, Wednesday morning just after 10 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Norwood Ave. and E. 21st Street for an unknown and unconscious woman who was injured after falling out of a moving vehicle.

Surveillance video (seen below) of the area shows a gray or silver hatchback driving east in the 1400 block of E. 21st after crossing Norwood Ave. The rear, driver's side door opens and a woman falls out on the road. The vehicle then drives to the next intersection, turns around, drives by the woman, turns left on Norwood, and then drives west on the Highway 50 bypass.

Pueblo PD said the woman was taken to an area hospital in serious condition. She has been identified as 32-year-old Rochelle Marie Trujillo.

PD said detectives want to interview the driver and passengers in the vehicle to determine what happened during the incident.
