PUEBLO — The Pueblo Police department says they will begin patrolling the streets of Pueblo for street racing after two incidents in the past couple of weeks.

The department says two larger gatherings have occurred with streets racing involved due to the warmer climate.

"It is just kind of one of the things that comes with the summer weather is this speeding," said Sgt. Franlyn Ortega from the Pueblo Police Department. "What these people don't realize is they are putting their lives as risk and a lot of other people's lives at risk by doing this."

PPD asks to report any street racing you see in the city.
