PUEBLO — Pueblo Police are on the lookout for a hit and run suspect following a crash in the early hours of Sunday morning.

According to Pueblo Police, a pickup truck was going the wrong way through the construction zone on E. Northern Ave. and hit another vehicle head on. PD said the truck fled the scene heading westbound on the bridge over Northern.

Pueblo PD said the pickup left a trail of antifreeze. Officers were able to locate the trail going the wrong way down Elm St. and followed it until it stopped in the 1100 block of Elm.

PD said officers drove the area but did not see the pickup.

PD said that though the pickup was not found, they do have its front license plate and the driver will be found.

The driver of the other vehicle that was hit was wearing his seat belt and sustained only minor injuries.
