Pueblo Police investigating homicide after man dies Sunday from injuries

PUEBLO — Pueblo Police are investigating a homicide that occurred this past weekend.

Just after 3:30 a.m. on April 12, officers responded to St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center regarding a possible gunshot wound victim that had just arrived at the emergency room.

Pueblo PD said the 26-year-old man eventually died at the hospital from his injuries.

Detectives were able to locate the driver who dropped the victim off at the hospital as well as the vehicle that was used to transport him. However, PD said at this point in the investigation there is no suspect description and the motive for the homicide is unknown.

This is Pueblo's fifth homicide of 2020.

The identify of the victim will be released at a later time by the Pueblo County Coroner's Office.
