Pueblo police investigating home invasion, shooting involving 2 masked men

PUEBLO — An investigation is underway after a man told authorities two men broke into his home and shot him in the leg Friday morning, according to the Pueblo Police Department.

Officers responded to the home invasion call around 6:15 a.m. where the victim told police two masked men kicked in the back door of his home off Stone Avenue.

After the two men entered the home, the victim said he was shot in the leg and the suspects demanded money from him. The two men took his wallet and left in a white, two-door car that was parked in the alley, according to police. At this time, there is no information available on what the vehicle make or model could be.

The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for his gunshot wound.
