PUEBLO — The Pueblo Police Department is investigating a fatal accident that involved two vehicles and left one dead Saturday night.
The department said its officers were told the injuries were serious when they arrived on the scene.
PPD said a 2003 Ford F-150 and a 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 collided in the intersection of West 13th Street and North Grand Avenue around 9:20 p.m.
Officers said the driver of the Ford and the passenger were both 17 years old.
Both were transported to the hospital to be treated. The driver had serious injuries.
The passenger of the Ford was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the Dodge, a 24-year-old, was evaluated and treated on the scene.
Authorities are investigating the accident, but they do not believe drugs and alcohol were a factor.
