PUEBLO — Two men died and two men were injured in a shooting Saturday night in Pueblo that may have been self defense, according to the Pueblo Police Department.

The department said officers responded to the shooting around 12:30 a.m. in a shopping center near the intersection of Prairie Avenue and Northern Avenue.

Officers interviewed the shooter and other witnesses who said the two men who died tried to rob their group at gunpoint. One of the injured men was hit by a piece of shrapnel. The other injured man turned up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound in his leg.

The Pueblo County Coroner identified the two men who died as 28-year-old Domingo Jaramillo and 24-year-old David Sansoni.

Detectives want to talk with the owner of a newer model white Lexus sedan with red rims about the circumstances of this incident. They say the car owner tends to frequent the Mesa Junction neighborhood.
