PUEBLO — The name of the 65-year-old man who was hit by a vehicle while crossing Prairie Avenue in Pueblo Wednesday night has been released.

The Coroner's Office released the name and has identified the 65-year-old man as Steven Kleinheim.

Thursday morning, Pueblo Police charged 37-year-old Alisia Martinez with failing to remain at the scene of an accident involving death after Kleinheim was killed on Prairie Avenue.

According to police, Kleinheim was crossing Prairie Avenue, near the state fairgrounds, when he was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound on Prairie.

He was in the crosswalk when he was struck.

Police said the vehicle that hit him was a white colored two-door and should now have front end damage. It fled the scene after the collision.
