Pueblo PD to release series of behind the scenes videos

PUEBLO — Pueblo Police want to be more transparent about how they operate.

That's why they're releasing a series of videos to show the inner workings of the department. The first video talks about police training.

As policing policies are taking the national spotlight, Pueblo PD thought it would be a good time to do these videos.

"The reason why we are doing it is people have misconceptions and wrong ideas of what we do and how we do things, so the idea is to demonstrate this is what the Pueblo Police Department does," Sgt. Franklyn Ortega said.

A new video will be released each week.

The department also suggests contacting them, going for a ride-along, or joining a citizens academy if you want to know more about Pueblo Police.
