PUEBLO — The City of Pueblo is opening an additional warming shelter Tuesday night.

The emergency overflow warming shelter will be open at the Pueblo train station.

Those at the Pueblo Rescue Mission expect the permanent shelter will be full Tuesday night due to winter weather.

"So they are the ones who could end up at the transit station tonight and so at least they won't freeze, and that way they can have a place to be safe and warm tonight," Kathy Klein at the rescue mission said.

The emergency shelter can hold up to 25 people and will at close at 6 a.m.
