PUEBLO — The future of public transportation in Pueblo could be turning green.

In a community forum Thursday, Mayor Nick Gradisar says there are plans to move both the Pueblo Bus Garage and the Pueblo Transit Building.

He says he wants to move the garage to a site with a reliable power source, because the next step is transitioning from diesel buses to electric ones.

"Pueblo has made a commitment to be 100% renewable energy by 2035, so this community wants to be a green community it wants to be a community that tries to take care of the planet," Gradisar said.

You can still have your voice heard on this matter. Another community forum is scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday at Centennial High School.
