PUEBLO — Pueblo County Commissioners said Tuesday they have had discussions with Pueblo Mayor Nick Gradisar and the Dept. of Health about possibly submitting a variance to the Governor seeking to allow businesses to reopen outside of the state's Safer-at-Home Order.

Businesses under consideration include bars and special events businesses. Over the weekend, commissioners released a survey to the business community to find out how tough the pandemic has been on them. Many said they feel a lot of urgency to submit a variance.

Any variance that is submitted to the state must have permission from local hospitals and could be rescinded if there is a spike in cases.
